Day 2 of 21: Headache Woes

Are you as addicted to coffee as I am?  I just got through day 2, I'm about to go to bed, and I still have a headache that started at about 11 am this morning.  Darn it.  I'm hungry too.  Damn it.

I kind of ate a lot too.  Maybe.  Can't quite figure this thing out.  I'm letting myself eat until I'm about 80% full, but not really restricting quantity by any means.

I always knew I was addicted to coffee.   How long will it take for the headache to go away?

Soon I hope.

Breakfast:
Smoothie with organic frozen mango, blueberries, raspberries, almond milk, and 1 Tbsp of flax seed
Apple
Cranberry Kombucha

Lunch:
Salad with Jicama, Brussel Sprouts, Swiss Chard, Artichoke Hearts, Chicken (maybe 1/2 breast), Garbanzo Beans, Olive Oil, Balsamic Vinegar, Salt, and Pepper
Raisins

Snack:
Dried Seaweed, Carrot Juice, and Almonds

Dinner:
Chicken broth added to leftover quinoa - vegetable mixture and made into a soup.  Arugula and radicchio salad with olive oil/salt/pepper.

  3. I am not a caffeine addict but I've known plenty of people who were who went through major withdrawal when they quit. Your menu looks good so far. Good luck!

  7. Treating headache seems easy but it can also be difficult. If you have headache, you just want to lie on bed and it leaves you unproductive. I've found another alternative to combat headache. It's a traditional one. You can sway your both hands. It's effective. Glad that your headache already subsided.

  8. I agree with the previous comments. A lot of people who are experiencing the agony of headache just want to lie on bed. Some people take medicines like ibuprofen or paracetamol. However, you can try to divert yourself to some activities to alleviate pain. I agree that swaying your both hands can also ease a little pain. If it's serious, then you need to consult your doctor.

  9. Headache can make you irritable. It can ruin one's day. Anyway, headache can be a sign of migraine or flu. It is important to treat it as soon as possible. If you still have time, then you can visit your doctor and have it checked up.
