Banana and Fig Overnight Oats

If you have been following my blog you may remember the Green Monster, which I discovered on Oh She Glow's site.

Oh She Glows also makes variations of overnight oats fairly regularly and I decided to make my own version.  I love how you toss everything together, throw the oats in your refrigerator and grab your tupperware before you run out the door for work.

I made my overnight oats with banana, chia seeds, dried fig, and honey.

Here's your oats before you go to bed...

And here they are when you wake up.  Fully saturated with the almond milk and chia seeds.

Banana and Fig Overnight Oats
Serves 1

Ingredients:
1/3 Cup Regular Oats
3/4 Cup Almond Mile
1 Tbsp Chia Seeds
1 Banana Sliced
2 Dried Mission Figs roughly chopped
Honey

Directions:
Combine all ingredients except for the honey.  Place in fridge and let sit overnight.  In the morning remove from fridge and top with honey as desired.

  3. I love this, because I discovered this one day on my own {left the oats sitting in the almond milk too long} and found it was so much better, I've shared my "secret" recipe with others. I guess I wasn't the only one. :) I'll have to add all the yummy ingredients next time. Yay, thanks for sharing!

    p.s. love your blog!
