Egg, Ham, and Cheese Casserole
Serves 4 - 6
1 Cup of Half and Half (or less)
1/2 Pound of Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese (or different cheese depending on your tastes)
1/2 Pound of Deli Ham with edges trimmed and chopped into 1/4" squares
3/4 Stale Sour French Baguette cut into 1/2" to 1" squares
Night Before Christmas: Beat eggs with a whisk until well blended. Place square pieces of bread in a casserole (baking) dish. Pour eggs over bread. Add shredded cheese, ham, salt, and pepper. Mix well. Add milk until the bread is moist however not soaked. This may take more or less half and half than the measurement listed above.
Morning of Christmas: Preheat oven to 350˚F. Bake for 1:15 to 1:30 minutes until very crispy and brown. Serve immediately with a large serving spoon.
